The Story Behind the Name
My full name is Joseph R. DeFerrari III – a name that’s a link to my past and my family. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh in the heart of the Rust Belt, where my father and grandfathers worked in the steel mills.
The industrial landscape, the glowing furnaces, and the rhythmic flow of the rivers were part of my everyday life. I saw firsthand how the closing of the mills changed the community. It was a formative experience, shaping my understanding of hard work, resilience, and the power of transformation.
Today, I carry that spirit into my work – building from the ground up, honoring heritage, and embracing change. “Third Creative Co.” is my homage to that legacy and a reminder of the strength that comes from knowing where you’re from and where you’re going.
