One of my favorite projects at ModCloth was always the shipping packaging.
As a native e-commerce brand, we didn't have many physical touchpoints with customers. We took the excitement and anticipation of receiving a package and created moments to speak with our customers through various designs, messaging, and CTAs.
One of the surprises our customers organically created was the tradition of sharing photos of their cats in their ModCloth boxes. It became so popular, that to celebrate 1 million followers on Facebook, our team recreated some of our favorites.
This is a great example of going further to create an experience that engages the customer and lets them make it their own. The engagement was fun and memorable and was just another way that we were able to engage our community.
